Fullerton, the Nance County seat, is at the heart of the best hunting and agricultural land in Nebraska at the convergence of Highways 14 and 22.  With an active Economic Development Committee and Chamber, we strive toward progress and development. Fullerton offers a technologically advanced and an academic top ten ranked public school, updated city library, two assisted living facilities, a new independent living facility, nursing home and two medical clinics that are the pride of the community.  A beautiful 9-hole grass green golf course and clubhouse is located with scenic views of the Cedar River Valley. A new outdoor recreation facility located on the Cedar River is under construction. It will involve the renovation of the old hydroelectric plant and Five Acre Island in the river. When finished it will provide camping spots, shelter, RV hook-ups, a walking trail and boat ramp.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission in 2017 approved grant awards for the Land and Water Conservation Fund and the Recreational Trails Program. Fullerton will receive a grant for $129,847.00 to bring water and sewer services to Powerhouse Park in order to develop a RV camping area. In addition Fullerton was approved for $145,865.00 to build an 1,850 foot (8 feet in width) concrete trail leading up to the park and on Five Acre Island in the Cedar River.

Community Votes for a New Swimming Pool
In July of 2018, the residents of Fullerton took to the polls to vote on a new swimming pool. By an overwhelming majority, the community approved the construction of a new pool to replace the existing one that served the area for over 60 years. The approved bond issue will be for the construction of the base pool and the "alternatives" will be paid for through donations and various grants. Construction for the project is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2019. To view information related to the project you may click here. If you have any questions or wish to donate to the pool fund, you may contact James Kramer at City Hall (308-536-2428).
