The City of Fullerton's motto of "Pulling Together for Progress" can immediately be seen in its latest project, the Fullerton Community Pool. This new pool will replace the previous pool, which was built in 1956 and served the community very well for over 60 years. Back in the 1950's, the community came together for that project and this generation has done the same today. Through a bond and sales tax referendum, fundraisers, individual donations, volunteer labor and grants, Fullerton was able to raise over one million dollars for the new pool.

As proud as we are of what we have accomplished together, there is still a need for support. If you wish to make a tax deductible donation for the new pool, you can fill out a donation form or contact James Kramer, Fullerton City Hall, PO Box 670, Fullerton, NE 68638 or call 308-536-2428.

The design of the new pool will have several new features that the previous pool did not have. These features include five lanes for lap swimming, a lazy river, zero depth entry, water features such bubblers and fountains, a family slide and a shaded bench in the zero depth water area. The new pool will also be 2000 square feet larger than the previous pool.

Construction on the pool began in August of 2019 and if all goes as planned, it will open Memorial Day weekend in 2021. Below are pictures of the progress from August 2019 to August 2020.
